2022 Honda Odyssey

The Odyssey first hit the scene in the mid 90's, a minivan that had some shared elements with the Accord sedan. When it hit the second generation from 1999-2004, it grew significantly and got sliding doors, traits that we associate with the Odyssey today. The 4th generation of the Odyssey came out in 2011, and after its mid-cycle refresh, it had the six-speed automatic as a standard, as well as an on-board vacuum cleaner.

The 2022 model features a redesign that is getting rave reviews. The engine for this model is a 3.5-liter direct-injection V-6. It generates 280 horsepower, which is 32 hp over the prior years. The engine is paired with a nine or 10-speed automatic transmission, depending on the trim level. The current MPG for the engine is 19 for the city, 28 for the highway. Part of this improved efficiency is coming from the efficiency of the powertrain a new active shutter grille, and an overall more aerodynamic package. These outboard second-row seats not only go up and back, but side to side. This system has a tile-based interface that combines Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability. There is also built-in LTG Wi-Fi, for yet another reason to take what people are seeing as the hottest minivan out there.
