2023 Honda Passport
The 2023 Honda Passport is a rugged, powerful midsize SUV with convenient features and plenty of cargo room. It's a great choice for a fun family trip or an off-road adventure. Here are some additional details about this appealing, versatile vehicle.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2023 Passport has a sculpted, aerodynamic body, angular automatic headlights, and a prominent grille with a distinctive chain link pattern and the Honda emblem in the middle. You can choose EX-L, TrailSport, or Elite trim levels. Standard features include rear privacy glass, dual exhaust, a rear windshield wiper and washer, a spoiler, an acoustic windshield, and a power liftgate.
You'll also get all-season tires, 8.1 inches of ground clearance, a power moonroof with tilt capability, and heated side mirrors with turn signals and memory settings. The EX-L and the Elite have 20-inch wheels, and the TrailSport has 18-inch wheels. You can add a hands-free power liftgate, heated rain-sensing windshield wipers, acoustic windows, roof rails, fog lights, and power-folding, auto-dimming side mirrors.
Engine (Power)
The 3.5-liter V-6 engine provides 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. It uses a nine-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters for the steering wheel.
Performance
The 2023 Honda Passport uses variable cylinder management to save fuel when you don't need all six cylinders. The engine can also shut off automatically when you pause in traffic. This conserves energy by preventing idling, and the motor automatically restarts when you press the accelerator. Accessories like the radio stay on, and you'll get active noise cancellation for a quiet ride.
Electronic stability control, an independent suspension, maneuverable power steering, all-wheel drive, and traction control are standard as well. This SUV can tow up to 5,000 pounds, and the Intelligent Traction Management system comes with snow, mud, and sand driving modes.
Interior
The Passport comes with a variety of luxurious features, including push-button start, a sunglasses holder, keyless entry, under-floor storage compartments, 11 cup holders, and cruise control, phone, and audio buttons on the steering wheel. The three-zone automatic climate control system has air vents for the rear seats, humidity control, and a cabin air filter.
Folding rear seats, voice recognition, a lockable glove compartment, four cargo tie-down anchors, wireless charging, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a HomeLink universal remote are standard as well. You'll also get an auto-dimming rearview mirror, heated front seats, speed-sensitive volume control, an 8-inch touch-screen, two 12-volt power outlets, and a 10-way power driver's seat with memory and lumbar settings.
You can choose a heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel, ambient lighting, cooled front seats, heated rear seats, and a seven-speaker, 215-watt sound system with a subwoofer. A 10-speaker, 540-watt audio system with a subwoofer, wireless charging, a 115-volt power outlet, and navigation are also optional. The TrailSport has attractive orange stitching on the leather seats and the steering wheel.
Safety Features
The 2023 Passport comes with automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, hill start assistance, lane departure warning, and lane-keeping assistance. You can select a blind spot information system, front and rear parking sensors, and rear cross-traffic alert.
