Scenic Drives in the Los Angeles Area

When living in large bustling cities, the urge to get out of the concrete jungle and into a world filled with trees and views can be a frequent one. With activities like camping and hiking being sometimes out of reach, scenic drives can sometimes help elevate this feeling.

 Palos Verdes Peninsula

The South Bay beach area gives more than its fair amount of breathtaking views and stunning roads. The first 3rd of the drive consists mostly of fancy real estate, but it ends on the undeveloped oceanfront. A great place to take a break before heading back.

Malibu Canyon

Mt. Wilson

While LA offers its fair amount of great drives, few can be compared to that of Arroyo Seco. Drivers being parallel to the Rose Bowl and are greeted with a sign informing them they are indeed taking the scenic tour. From there its nothing but great views and an enjoyable drive. Other great areas to visit for a scenic drive are the Canyon Roads, Griffith Park, and Mulholland Drive. If drivers wish to experience the best of the best near LA though, the should stick with what is listed here first, as they supply by far the best experiences.

No matter which path is chosen, they all will defiantly supply what most people stuck in the city are craving: an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city accompanied by some stellar views. For this, LA offers by far one of the best areas in the United States, serving up high mountains, great architecture, and by far some of the best sights available.
